St. Patrick’s Cathedral

20 05 2015

So the St. Patrick’s Day parade has become somewhat popular in Tokyo and in other parts of Japan in the recent years.  But not many of us know about St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin.

Even as the largest church in Ireland according to the above link, I found it quite charming and not too intimidating, perhaps because of the “Swift” reference who we all know even in Japan as being the author of the so-called Gulliver’s Travels.

Some scenes from the cathedral.

The cathedral choir was practicing when I visited and they were very good with a highly enthusiastic priest director.
