I love visiting churches (Christian in this case) and just sitting there, taking it all in though I’m an atheist.
A few churches I visited during my stay in Luxembourg City this past summer.
Trinity Church, a Protestant church
The Notre-Dame Cathedral, all of below.
Having enjoyed lunch (with wines) on the main eating square in Luxembourg City, it was time for more walking. It did me good with lots of up-and-downs with great views.
Still on the square.
And moving on.
The neighborhood of Luxembourg City I am staying in is called Bonnevoie just southeast of the central station. The morning after I arrived, I went out in search of breakfast and grocery.
Empty streets everywhere. Sunday morning it was but I believe it has more to do with the very small population of the city.
On the way back along a different route.
After arrival at the Luxembourg Airport, I took a local bus to take me to the central train station in Luxembourg City.
From the station, it was a short walk to my apartment, a nice spacious two-bedroom on the top floor of an older building with no elevator.
