24+ Hours in San Francisco

16 07 2017

I arrived in San Francisco at about 3:30 pm on Sunday, July 2 and stayed until the following evening and left for LA on a 6:45 pm flight.  Was there for one important business meeting and the rest was up to me. ^^

My cute hotel near the Union Square.

My lovely suite.

Stepping out…

Union Square and Powell Street

Drink like a local.

Breakfast the next day in the hotel restaurant.

THE important meeting went well with a cold margarita.

To the airport.

A Moment of Peace in LA

9 07 2017

There wasn’t any designated “free time” while being in LA on business last weekend but I did find some Champagne time away from the event I was attending on the 24th floor of the Ritz-Carlton right after the bar opened at 5 pm.  ^^

Visiting the Microsoft Theater

7 07 2017

My recent trip to downtown LA had something to do with this event that was held at the Microsoft Theater.

And it is one impressive theater.  At a 7,000 people capacity, anywhere in the audience you sat, it seemed that you had a center-stage view.

The VIP area.

Backstage public area.

And we’re on.

Backstage before and after show.

A Neighborhood Walk in Downtown LA

3 07 2017

I never thought I would be walking so much in LA which is what I did on this trip during my stay in downtown.  Some areas are more funky than others and you see rather unstable looking and sounding people on the street but you do not feel threatened.   It feels a lot more like New York than LA.

A Night Out in Little Tokyo and Breakfast After

2 07 2017

The first night in LA was a massive welcome dinner for our huge travel party. Our mysterious-looking ride to the restaurant.

In Little Tokyo for an izakaya party.

And the first morning was another sunny day.  Downstairs from the hotel where outside seating seems to be the norm for the eateries in the complex, I had a nice not-too-heavy breakfast.
