To Supermarket! in Seoul
19 10 2016Inbetween assignments while in Seoul, Korea, I made time to visit a supermarket, one of my favorite pastimes. Â Didn’t take enough photos to show how exciting and interesting the place was!

The supermarket chain “Home Plus” was on the basement floor of this mall in the Mecenatpolis Mall in the Hongdae neighborhood of Seoul.

Lunching Out in Seoul #2
18 10 2016What I really wanted to try while in Seoul, Korea was a cold noodle dish called “naengmyeon” though I did not know that it was called that in Korean upon entering a restaurant for lunch.
So I pointed to the picture on the wall.
Scissors used to cut the long noodles into shorter bits.
Very good. Â Cold and tasty. Â Refreshing.

Riding the Subway in Seoul
16 10 2016I always like taking the local transportation when visiting a foreign city though sometimes it may be difficult in certain parts of the world in which case I won’t push it. Â For example in Morocco I was going to take a long journey on the train but at the end decided against it.
On my recent trip to Seoul, Korea, I found its subway system to be perfectly fine as I knew from my first visit to the city years ago.  Directions are easy to follow and written in different languages including giving numbers to stations, something Tokyo has adopted in the recent years.

How many calories you burn if you didn’t take the moving walkway! Â It’s shown right next to the walkway and the number increases as you walk farther.
My return journey below with everyone on his/her phones. Â Again, the station is prepared for unexpected situations.
