When you visit George Town, Penang, Malaysia, you will soon notice that there are lots of street art on walls of buildings. It is apparently the result of the state of Penang‘s efforts to introduce art in public spaces of the World Heritage city and they have done a very good job in attracting visitors to actually seek for and interact with all the art.
There are roughly two kinds of street art in George Town and one is caricatures made of wrought iron depicting historical but often rather trivial events or facts. Here is what I came across and I wasn’t even looking for them but they’re all over the city.
