The Art of Casual Drinking in Seoul

Continuing with my recent Seoul, Korea trip.  Having shopped in the fish market, my new friends and I got to one of the on-site restaurants to have our “catch” prepared and cooked.

This is the atmosphere.  More than casual and down to earth.




And before we got to the food, there was much (loose) ritual in the drinking as explained by our Korean friend Summer.

We were doing a series of the soju + beer cocktail.  The first thing I noticed was artist promotion on the beer bottle.  Rather unique I thought.  Does not happen in Japan.

What follows here is various ways by which the cocktail is prepared by using different utensils or just human force.
