Lunching in Zagreb #2

8 05 2016

When you’re in a foreign land on vacation and it’s raining outside and you don’t want to do any sightseeing, I would be happy to spend long hours lunching. And having read that lunch is the most important meal of the day in Croatia, that’s what I intended to do when I visited this hotel restaurant.

The Strukli looks delicious and filling. Did you have enough room to taste all those desserts afterward, and did you have a favorite among them?

Well the strukli was way too huge a dish to finish. I had one piece of it and though it’s not that heavy you do get bored with the taste and this one may have been much more subtle in flavor than others. It actually happened to be a good contrast to the pasta as the truffle sauce was quite strong.

I turned down dessert but got the petit fours with the coffee. I had two white chocolates and that’s it. Wish I could have tried more!!

Bummer! The array of desserts looked lovely anyway.
