Breakfasting in Luang Prabang, Laos

28 02 2016

Arrived in the World Heritage town of Luang Prabang, Laos last night and checked in at a lovely boutique hotel that serves excellent breakfast.  Happy start of a brief get-away weekend.

The food tastes better than it looks.  The freshly-squeezed orange juice, the fruit bowl, the very good baguette with homemade jams, as well as the noodles – superb!!

Luang Prabang is one of my favorite places I’ve been to. These photos are making me want to go back!

It has such a nice relaxed feel, I loved it. A lot of tourists including myself, yes, but the pace is slow and you can avoid crowds, too. But once you have seen it, unless you are into doing “activities”, there is not much to see I guess which is fine by me. I’ll just sit and read. And I did go to the library on this trip.

It’s a very easy going pace, I like that the tourists even greet eachother in the local language. Very different from Hanoi, which I had stopped in beforehand. Even when I used simple Vietnamese, the locals were shocked!
