Dining Out in Tokyo, November, 2015: the French Version!

8 12 2015

A couple of seasonal dining events happening in November both of which were French.

My friends and I thought this was going to be our annual “Beaujolais nouveau” night out whereby we enjoy a glass of the new wine for the sake of it and then move on to other better tasting wines.  This year we chose a French-owned restaurant in Kudanshita where they did not serve the so-called “Beaujolais nouveau” but offered this year’s “Beaujolais-Villages Primeur” which I guess was for the better.

And I had an occasion to do some test dining at a cute little restaurant in Shinsen.  A bit too pricey for what it is though the food was good with a bit too overly friendly service.

And finally in Daikanyama there was the semi-annual wine gathering which has been going on for the last 20 years.  To commemorate its 20th anniversary, a very special wine was served amongst other fine wines and great food.
