Rock in Japan Festival 2015

2 09 2015

Now that we are into September, I’m just going to take a break from writing about Bulgaria and do a recap on my musical and other entertainment activities in August, 2015.

The first up is Rock in Japan Festival 2015, an outdoor music festival I had never attended before because it is very domestic, the kind of music I generally stay away from. Its being a work assignment I went and it was great but it was especially great backstage with food, booze, and more food.

Saturday, August 1, 2015 was a hot hot day.

The venue is a national park.

The venue is a national park, a vast area by the sea in Ibaraki.

Aaaaand they were only selling Bud but that tasted good. What a scary thought but it was that hot.

And various shots at the venue.

And this something cold, a regional specialty because of the melon so they say, was interesting.  The melon is frozen and they micorwave it (still quite hard when you get it), add sweetened soda (the particular brand being Mitsuya Soda) and add an ice cream scoop.

Who would’ve thought!!
