The Girls’ Day 2015

25 03 2015

March 3rd is the official and unofficial Girls’ Day in Japan. ¬†Official because it has history and is celebrated by everyone young and not-so-young including ourselves mostly by displaying the Girls’ Day dolls but unofficial because it is not a public holiday like the Children’s Day which really means the “Boys’ Day” on May 5th.

Anyway, I was at my bestie’s mother’s on the day of for a lovely dinner and a birthday party added to it.

Here’s our feast.

And the birthday celebration.

At home for two years in a row I failed to display my dolls so on or about the 1st of March, I got this scroll out and hanged it on one of my doors (where it’s not supposed to be hanged but I don’t have a proper room for it).
