The Pickling Solution

Yes, that’s what I recently discovered after trying out many kinds of Japanese pickles bought in stores.

The main ingredient is salt and it is used to make “asazuke“, the kind of pickles I tend to like.

Made it with celery.

Great.  Even the celery leaves.  But can be a bit too salty if you use it as instructed on the label.

Have bought zucchini to try next.  Our turnip works very well, too.
