Happy Healthy Dining

9 02 2015

It can be quite challenging taking out vegetarian guests in Japan as we tend to cook most things in fish-based stock.  If one can eat fish, choices become much wider.

My English guest the other day did not eat meat and did not like raw fish but was enjoying our grilled vegetables and braised mackerel.  She did not touch the sashimi in the picture which was welcomed by the rest of the party of one Englishman and two Japanese.  The chicken dish was enjoyed by the Japanese hosts.  And I am missing a big bowl of green salad we all loved.

Happy and full but feeling rather healthy.
