Intramuros is where the old colonial walled city of Spanish Manila can be seen in certain aspects and it is the top tourist attraction of the capital of the Philippines. It is in a small section of the current city of Manila though the tricycle drivers will tell you otherwise advising you to see it by riding in one of their vehicles because it is too big to walk around and they promise you to stop for pictures when you are at a monument. (They are so persistent that I might almost call it stalking. ^^)
Within the wall of Intramuros stands San Augustin Church which has been certified as a UNESCO World Heritage site and sadly I do not have any good picture to post that tells what it actually looks like but that’s secondary. And while I like visiting all these sites that being the main reason I am there, I do enjoy seeing how the locals live (though it may be a glimpse from the outside). That will be my next post.
