Kushiage with a Star

17 12 2014

On our agenda on Day 2 in Osaka was lunching at a “kushiage” (or kushikatsu) restaurant, again in the Kitashinchi neighborhood, very close to the restaurant my friends and I visited the night before.  It’s deep fried food but surprisingly light.  This restaurant, with one Michelin star, does a fine job.

In the center of the table is this plate where skewers of kushiage get placed from which we each take a piece.
