The Best Soup Ever!

It was seriously good.  Easily my best soup experience which happened last week in a French restaurant in the Shinjuku Gyoen neighborhood which you might not expect from this signage outside the basement floor restaurant which has apparently been there for at least a quarter of a century.

First things first.


And the soup which was a cold dish, made from oysters (though not entirely sure) with a crab pudding in the middle topped with a scoop of mascarpone cheese though again I’m not sure if it was just mascarpone or if it was mixed with something else.

And it was so pretty!
