A Boston Reunion

5 05 2014

It’s kind of surreal when you haven’t seen someone for close to 40 years and you meet up for the first time since you were kids.  Lots have changed obviously over the years and it’s not as though we had been in touch and if it weren’t for facebook, I don’t think we would have found each other again.  But when I met up with Candace, my childhood school friend from when I lived in Boston, it just felt so right like we had stayed great friends over all these years.

Where we met up as Candace works in the Longwood Medical Area.

Where we met up Tuesday afternoon which is the chain’s Longwood branch as Candace works in the Longwood Medical Area.

There is a trolley station on the left hand side and it's the station I used to use to go to school where Candace and I met.

We met up again Friday night for some Creole food and live music.

Great Creole food with good live music.

Great food and music.

We met up on another evening as well with Candace's sister and fiend.

At Darryl’s Corner Bar & Kitchen, we were joined by Candace’s sister Karen and their friend J.

Yay! It did feel like I never left although I was telling my friend that when I lived in Boston, we hadn’t reached drinking age so going out and enjoying food and wine was a new experience for me. 😀
