Though not a strict rule, I generally like going to the movies alone. I made an exception this past weekend when I was asked by a professional jazz pianist friend of mine if I would be interested in going to see the film Grand Piano together. It was one of the films I recently decided I would not go and see. But having been asked by a professional pianist, I quickly reconsidered and agreed to go.

It was entertaining. Yes, with many flaws, as reviews may say, but entertaining to the point of being funny when it’s supposed to be serious.
Over dinner at a nearby bistro we had a few laughs about it with my mainly asking my friend questions such as, “Is it really possible to be listening to someone with earphones while playing the piano??”
