The most recent “around-the-world dining in Tokyo” with my good friends coincided with one of our birthdays. We went to celebrate with Sri Lankan cuisine in Nakameguro.
I had the wrong impression that it was going to be mutton and no beef (Hindu), maybe no pork either (Muslim) but there was all kinds of meat dishes, the majority of the population being Buddhists, as well as seafood.
There was some gift giving all around. Here is one of the things I received. Sweet.
