March 3rd is the Girls’ Day in Japan. It is not a national holiday as opposed to the Children’s Day (which is actually the designated Boys’ Day) on May 5th being a public holiday.
I neglected to put out my dolls this year and it’s too late to put them out now. I can see my mother frowning. They are beautiful and I really should have put them out.

I did have a “hinamatsuri” of sort at my friend’s.
I brought this as a gift. An apple from Aomori designed especially for the occasion.
