Christmas Night, 2013

26 12 2013

My friends and I did not wish to do a “Christmas dinner” but wanted to go out for dinner on Christmas day (Christmas is not something that is celebrated at home among family members in Japan.  December 25th is also a normal business day) so we chose a “bread & wine cafeteria” produced by a French boulanger, Gontran Cherrier, above his boulangerie in Shibuya.  This way we figured that we would not be forced to eat a full Christmas menu that many French and Italian restaurants in Japan opt to offer, making it the only available item to order during this period which we hate.

We had made the right choice.
