December in Japan is that time of the year when people from workplace or school or other groups of friends typically get together to have “end-of-year” parties called “bonenkai” (literally “forget the year party”).
We had one for our department the other night. For a change, we had it in a Turkish restaurant with a belly dancer and all followed by a more casual and fun sort of place.
Love it! I can’t think of better way of ringing in the New Year that with the bells on a Turkish belly dancer! Happy holiday, Ayako. Ken

Thank you, Ken! When my staff told me that he had chosen this Turkish restaurant, I said, cool, I love their food, but do we really have to have belly dancer…?? It turned out great though as you can see. ^^
