My birthday as well as my best friend’s birthday both fall in October. We took a trip to Sendai and Matsushima last year to celebrate. This year we decided to celebrate in Tokyo by taking a Monday off from work and do a birthday lunch and chose a newish French restaurant in Hiro-o, where we went to school together.
We ordered a menu with a wine-pairing option which meant that with every course, a different wine that was perfect for the dish was offered. We both loved it.
