I was in the neighborhood of Sangenjaya in Setagaya-ku one day and decided to check out the soft-serve ice cream in a confectionery which has been around since its opening in 1969.

A very visible display for soft-serve ice cream. It’s difficult to see but behind the doors there is a whole shop with baked and other sweets.
The very nice (& talkative) shop owner. A true gentleman who has apparently studied confectionery in Switzerland.
I asked for vanilla and he said I should also try chocolate and gave me this after I had taken my first bite. ^^
