Mongolian Home Cooking in Tokyo

10 11 2013

My friends and I had been to another “Mongolian” restaurant in Tokyo which actually featured food from “Inner Mongolia” which is part of the People’s Republic of China (and it was very good).  Last month, coinciding with my birthday, we decided to go to another type of Mongolian restaurant, featuring home cooking of the independent country Mongolia, run by the mother of a Mongolian-born sumo wrestler Hakubazeki in the sumo town of Ryogoku, home to the Ryogoku Kokugikan.

The place was so busy with maybe half Mongolian half Japanese customers, it took me a long time to get this draft.
