Continuing with Discovering New Neighborhood

4 11 2013

Another night out with a colleague from work in early October and I deliberately chose a restaurant near the office that I had never gone to just to try out something new.

I liked the concept of the restaurant: “free range chicken and bubbles”.  The Japanese eat lots of chicken and you can easily go to “chicken-themed” restaurants in different forms but I don’t think anyone else has come up with the concept of serving bubbly with chicken dishes, two things I really like, so I was very curious.

It’s a tiny place with only a counter with maybe a dozen seats and a very friendly vibe.

Our destination is on the 3rd floor. The basement restaurant serving curry - another Japanese favorite - is managed by the same people.

The name of the restaurant which doesn't sound right in English is a play on words with "Our's" being close to "awa" meaning bubbles in English. Not sure whey they wanted to use a possessive "s" when "our" would have sounded just fine.
