A Japanese Restaurant with a Quirky Bathroom

22 10 2013

I’m talking about the ladies’ in a restaurant I visited last month for a friend’s birthday.  The “room” was really a “bathroom” which term we do not use in Japanese to mean the rest room.  This room came with a bath tub, the restaurant’s being located in a former residential condo that has apparently been turned into a commercial building.

Anyway, here we go with what the restaurant looks like.

I went late so others had had their beers and had moved onto something else.

“Please open if you’re in an emergency.”

Japanese women, in general, or maybe not, do like brushing their teeth. I never used to but now it’s a routine in the office.

That really is for decoration though everything else, is for real.
