This may shock some readers but I’m going to spit out the truth. 2012 marked the 30th anniversary for my high school class since graduation and while no one thought to plan a 30th anniversary reunion until October we ended up organizing one and held it on Saturday, December 1 in Hiroo, Tokyo at this restaurant.
We were 42 girls when we graduated from the International School of the Sacred Heart. Because of the nature of the school, we have students coming and going all the time. Some of us spent 14 years from kindergarden until the 12th grade but others left after a short period of time. We are all over the world and facebook has allowed us to reconnect with many lost friends including those that didn’t graduate with us.
In any event, the reunion was on a short notice and in Tokyo where it is very far to travel for many classmates so we were not expecting a big turn out but we managed to get 11 girls present. (Invitation was extended to spouses and partners but no one brought any – that’s rather Japanese.)
11 noisy old ladies chatting non-stop. We had a blast.
one day, i would do the same! love the get together feelings!

Yeah, we don’t do it often enough because we are so everywhere but as you grow older you tend to want to do it so my mother tells me. ^^
