Art Nouveau

The most renowned art nouveau architect in Hungary is Ödön Lechner.  We saw three buildings by him in Budapest.

The Museum of Applied Arts, 1896, five minutes from where we were staying and which we visited on the last day.

The Thonet business house on Váci utca, 1889

The former Postal Savings Bank building, 1899, completed 1901.

And then there were other charming buildings including subway stations.
