Belated Mother’s Day @ La Grappe

On mother’s day this year, I was flying from Vienna to Paris and to Tokyo.  We waited until yesterday to make up for the missed occasion and I chose a French restaurant in Nishiazabu to get together which is normally what she likes to do – go to a French restaurant.

My starter: carrot mousse with consomme & sea urchin and main: today's fish which was sole

Lovely dessert: compote of baby tomatoes and granite with lemon verbena sorbet

Chef Kato who managed to cook, serve & be a friendly host all by himself!

I was driving yesterday so skipped the wine but it would be lovely to try all the food with nice wines.
