Lost internet connection for a few days while travelling in Austria and the Czech Republic. Am in transit in Paris now and here is a quick update of the life in Vienna, on the sweet side.
I don’t normally spend a lot of time going to cafes and having coffee or eating sweets but when in Vienna, do as the Viennese do.

My choice: Kaffee "Fiaker"
How all the cafes bring out the coffee - on a tray with water and a spoon on top.
Cherry brandy in the tall glass.
Surprisingly light cream.
And of course cake to go with the coffee. The cafe's signature square chocoloate cake (but I didn't know that when I picked it from the showcase.)
