Had a chance to visit a new branch of the teppanyaki restaurant I used to frequent, originally from Harajuku.
As soon as I stepped in, someone called out, “Mathies-san!!” He was sitting at the counter and therefore looked like a customer but it was one of the chefs who worked in the Harajuku branch who I first met some 20 or so years ago. I was so surprised he even remembered my name and that he still worked for the establishment.
Some of the menu was exactly the same.
